The largest aquaculture fair in the southern hemisphere will once again be by the sea in the city of Puerto Montt.
More than 15,000 m2 net display; 350 exhibitor companies, organizations and institutions; more than 30 countries participating; an international congress in which there will be about fifty speakers, and a total of 25,000 visitors throughout the three days of the fair that will take place from 19 to 21 March 2024, are the numbers expected for the twelfth edition of AquaSur.
In this opportunity, the one considered the most important aquaculture event in the southern hemisphere –in the northern hemisphere it is AquaNor in Trondheim, Norway– will be held in a new venue, specifically in Patagonian Maritime Terminals (TMP), located in Caletera Route 5 South, DM 1.030.460,00 Chinquihue Alto, Puerto Montt (Los Lagos region) and whose access will be via Route 5 South.

In addition to explaining that this location will give greater identity and possibility of outdoor exhibitions, the executive director of AquaSur, Rodrigo Lobo, has emphasized that in this meeting, knowledge and solutions to the main challenges and conflicts of today will be shared, presenting new technologies and possibilities for a more sustainable industry.

"The goal of AquaSur 2024 is to reaffirm the important role of Chile in the world industry of salmon, trout, choritos (known as mussels in international markets), ostiones, among many other products of the sea, showing the development that the country has achieved to exchange experiences, always enhancing Chilean aquaculture," said Rodrigo Lobo, who, in turn, is the general manager of Fisa, company in charge of the organization of the fair.
