Organized in conjunction with FISA and within the framework of the organization of Aqua Sur 2026, the event will feature prominent national and international actors in aquaculture.

In order to review global trends, innovation and technological development, as well as opportunities for alliances and cooperation, this Tuesday 24 March ProChile and FISA hold the Seminar "Opportunities and trends in aquaculture in international markets", which will have an opening speech and will also be moderated by the General Director of ProChile, Ignacio Fernández.

The event will feature prominent national and international experts: Osvaldo Urrutia, Undersecretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture; Yngve Torgersen, General Director of Aquaculture of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries of Norway; Paw Petersen, CEO of OxyGuard International, and Adolfo Alvial, Executive Director of the Aquaculture Innovation Club.

"We are very happy to be able to carry out this activity within the framework of Aqua Sur, which is one of the most important fairs in aquaculture in the world. We have brought together national and international actors who will discuss the aquaculture industry, which is an essential part of the economy in the region," says Ricardo Arriagada, Regional Director of ProChile Los Lagos.

Also, Arriagada adds that "aquaculture has allowed to strengthen regional development, especially in the southern part of the country. Indeed, today the Los Lagos Region is the second that exports the most after the Metropolitan region thanks to this industry, which has been consolidated as highly competitive, with products recognized for their quality, natural origin and high sanitary standards."

The Seminar, which will be open to all fair visitors, will take place at 17:00 hours in the Congress Room of Aqua Sur. Likewise, ProChile will have a stand located in S-24.
