The free program aims to strengthen the capabilities of suppliers for the salmon farming industry, through specialized workshops and a mentoring cycle led by executives from Multi X.
Following the positive results achieved in 2025, Multi X and the Sercotec Puerto Aysén Business Center announced the start of the second edition of Red Pyme Aysén, a supplier development program that aims to boost the competitiveness and sustainable growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in the region linked or interested in integrating into the aquaculture industry value chain.
In its first edition, the initiative brought together more than 35 providers from the region and included 8 trainings in financial and commercial management, along with 36 mentorships developed by professionals from Multi X. At the end of the program, 30 providers received their certification, consolidating a training, networking and collaboration platform between SMEs, the industry and the public sector.
The procurement manager of Multi X, Daniel Santa Cruz, highlighted that "The first version of Red Pyme Aysén confirmed the value of generating knowledge transfer spaces with suppliers. Having competitive local suppliers is key to the sustainability of our operation and the salmon farming sector. That is why, in this second version, we aim to deepen that work and bring industry requirements closer to more companies" from the region"
In that line, the regional director of SERCOTEC Aysén, Pamela Flores, commented that, "as SERCOTEC we are convinced that having competitive local suppliers is the engine of our economy. This second version of Red Pyme Aysén comes to consolidate that vision, providing concrete tools for our companies to grow, innovate and successfully integrate into the value chains of our region. We are not only supporting" businesses, we are building a more robust and sustainable productive structure for Aysén.
The Red Pyme Aysén programme will start with a cycle of three virtual meetings that will prepare participants for the mentoring stage. The first activity will take place on Thursday 13 August with a talk on the salmon farming industry, followed by two in-depth workshops: "Growth and Financing" and "Safety, Occupational Health and Supply". These sessions will be aimed at strengthening the capacities of the suppliers, providing tools and knowledge about some of the main standards, opportunities and requirements of the industry.
The activities will be carried out in virtual mode and, in addition, will have 20 places in the dependencies of the Sercotec Puerto Aysén Business Center.
Those who complete this first stage will be able to apply for the available quotas for the Multi X Mentoring cycle, which will take place between September and October of the present. During this process, executives and specialists of the company will provide personalized support to suppliers in areas such as commercial development, financial and accounting management, innovation and technology, occupational safety and health, legal aspects, supply, management control, communications and project formulation.
The companies interested in joining Red Pyme Aysén 2026 must belong to the Region of Aysén and have annual sales above 100UF. To join the program, you must register in https://linktr.ee/RED_PYME_AYSEN and will receive an e-mail with the necessary information to participate in the launch and workshops that will be open to the entire network of local suppliers.
