The aim is to propose to Subpesca a legal text that takes into account the particularities of this important productive sector.

The Chilean Mussel Farmers Association A.G. (AmiChile), together with Acuiestudios SpA, are developing a draft law proposal that specifically considers national mussel farming. This, in the context of the new Fishing and Aquaculture Law that the current government is promoting.

The aim is to propose to the Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Subpesca) a legal text that takes into account the particularities of this important sector, therefore it is of utmost importance the contributions and vision of those who make up the mussel farming sector. For this reason, a survey has been designed to collect information, which is structured in themes that address the different aspects that should be part of the draft law, explained from AmiChile.

The sector also expects to have an active participation in this process, "since this information will allow to strengthen and enrich the proposal".

The deadline for replying is the next Monday, December 4.
