The forum, which will take place between 26 and 29 May, seeks to project the regional supply to the markets of Southeast Asia, in order to continue the diversification of Chilean exports.

ProChile invites exporting companies with export potential in the Los Lagos region, belonging to the marine products sectors (salmon and mussels), and to solutions associated with those sectors, to apply to the Second Chile-ASEAN Business Meeting 2026, a strategic platform to promote regional supply in Southeast Asian markets.

The meeting scheduled for May 26-29 will be held within the framework of THAIFEX, the region's largest food and beverage fair, and will bring together Chilean exporters with international importers, distributors and buyers from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, markets that are increasingly in demand for seafood, inputs and technologies related to aquaculture.

ASEAN, an economic bloc made up of more than 680 million inhabitants and composed of 11 economies representing about 6.3 per cent of world GDP, has been consolidated as one of the most dynamic destinations for the diversification of Chilean exports, particularly in food, agro-industry and value-added solutions.

“This second meeting of Chile-ASEAN Business aims to strengthen Chile’s presence in a strategic region, strengthen public-private chains and generate new business opportunities for priority sectors such as aquaculture and agrofood, contributing to the opening and diversification of markets for regional companies. The food processing industry in the countries of this economic bloc demands materials premiums, marine proteins, ingredients, equipment and technologies, areas where the Los Lagos Region has a high standard and competitive capacity offer,” says Ricardo Arriagada, Regional Director of Los Lagos.

The program includes B2B business wheels, field meetings, technical visits and commercial positioning activities. In addition, companies in the agriculture and food sector will be able to access the Hong Kong Route (22 and 23 May), a complementary forum that includes seminars, networking and meetings with buyers.

It should be noted that No Copper and No Lithium exports from the Los Lagos region in 2025 amounted to US$ 7,084, where 5.15% were destined for the ASEAN bloc (US$365 million, 22% more than in 2024). The three main products exported from the region to that commercial bloc were salmon (US$315 million, 23% more than the previous year); fish oils (US$25 million, +20%) and mussels (US$6 million, +10%).
