Those who attend the Chilean pavilions at SIAL 2024 will be able to taste fresh salmon and mussels from the country.
With a new stand design Chile made its official debut at SIAL in Paris, the main food industry fair in the world, held in the capital of France between 19 and 23 October. In the event, the country is represented by 33 companies supported by ProChile, institution that coordinated the implementation of the new design in conjunction with the Chile Image Foundation and the Civil Society Councilwhich includes guilds and companies, along with public bodies that represent the country in this type of events abroad.
"it is essential for our country's image to have a unique design and a coherent story when presenting ourselves at international business fairs," said the General Director of ProChile, Ignacio FernándezEvents in which we have presence every year, are global meeting points for different industries, and function as real showcases for Chile to show its range of exportable products and services. This new pavilion brings us a design that is visible from a distance, with the representation of the Andes Mountains, and promotes a country image that is easily identifiable, competitive and unified, which promotes the idea of that we are a reliable business partner for the world."

For her part, the executive director of the Fundación Imagen de Chile (FICH), Rossana Dresdner, said that “Chile is today a country with a vision of the future, that has a diverse and quality offer, and that takes care of the sustainability challenges that the world demands. We are a responsible and reliable country, with very unique characteristics. That’s what we wanted to convey with the new pavilion in SIAL in Paris.” He also stressed that the new design “is a concrete example of how we work together to enhance Chile’s presence and image in the most competitive international markets.”
The design of the pavilion was commissioned to the company DAW Diseño & Arquitectura through a public tender. Under the concept “looking beyond our limits”, the visual proposal stands out for the use of the mountain range, which allows to identify the Chilean presence at a distance and become a meeting point for those who attend international fairs. In addition, its modular structure facilitates assembly, dismantling and transport, betting on the reusability of the elements and sustainability.
The new design was already tested in a white march that included a series of international fairs throughout this year, including the Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona, Spain, and the Children's Book Fair in Bologna, Italy.

This is it. becomes a key trading partner in the food sector,” he added.
