In a site strategically located on Route 5 South, work has begun to install 20,000 square kilometers of useful surface for the most important aquaculture fair in the southern hemisphere.

Last week, a delegation from the operations area of Aquasur traveled to the Los Lagos Region with a shipment of carpas, aluminum structures and other crucial elements for the infrastructure that will host the exhibition.

It is a company that involves the deployment of logistics capabilities, the use of high-quality materials and the coordination of ten experts in the assembly from scratch of exhibition pavilions for a large public attendance.

Marcelo Olivares, production coordinator for the operations area of Aquasur, stated that "the assembly is carried out by a specialized team, ensuring an efficient, orderly process and meeting the highest quality and safety standards." This task is carried out by the company Carpas Goñi.

The process involves, in addition to the installation of tents provided by the company Tarpulin, the placement of signage, stands, modules, electrical connections and internet. Regarding this, Olivares added: "A total of 20,000 square metres of tents will be installed, made up of reinforced aluminum structures, specifically designed to withstand winds with gusts of up to 100 kilometres per hour."

This design of Aquasur 2026, which ensures the functionality and safety of the facilities throughout the event, even in adverse weather conditions, follows the sustainability and stable development guidelines set out in the Salmon 2050 Plan, an initiative driven by the mayor of Puerto Montt, Rodrigo Wainraight, and other relevant industry actors at local level to position said city as the world capital of salmon.
