The contest is a unpublished initiative driven by a group of american universities with support from IncubatecUFRO University of La Frontera (UFRO) and of FISA, organizing company of AquaSur 2024, and wherEX, supplier platform, looking for micro, small and medium enterprises (mipymes) have the possibility to participate in the international fair, with a co-financing to afford a stand of 2 square meters in which it is considered the most relevant event of the aquaculture industry in the southern hemisphere.

So far there are 42 winners of the grant, whose success - according to the organization - has been such that a new co-financing for companies that register from here to this Friday 9 February.

"The contest has been super successful. Today we have more than 100 registered SMEs, so we do a Positive balance sheet of the applications. Companies have to hurry up to not miss the opportunity to participate in AquaSur 2024," he emphasized. Federico Huneeus, professor of economics at Duke University who heads the organizing team of "Take off your entrepreneurship", an initiative that is part of a study implemented by researchers and researchers of the University of Harvard, Yale, Boston and Duke.

A "Take off your entrepreneurship" can apply at no cost all persons legal SMEs they are suppliers of products or services to the aquaculture industry.

The prize has an estimated value of $537,000 Chilean pesos (the total cost of a stand is approximately $895,000). Among the winning companies so far are: shipyards, analysis laboratories, even startups linked to the aquaculture sector, which have already received the results of their application to the competition.

SMEs that have not yet applied and wish to do so should take the following steps:
