Companies from around the world, expert voices in panels and seminars and recognition of local innovation will be part of the thirteenth edition of the fair.
More than 20,000 square metres of exhibition, the participation of more than 550 exhibitor companies and an International Congress that will bring together more than 40 speakers to address the main challenges of the aquaculture industry in Chile and the world will shape Aquasur 2026, which will take place between March 24 and 26 in the Los Lagos Region.
30 days after its opening, the venue that will host this new edition is in the final stage of preparation. The installation of essential services - such as electricity, potable water and digital connectivity - is part of the process of implementing a large-scale infrastructure being built from scratch at kilometer 1,009 of the Route 5 South.
The objective that FISA-GL events, organizers of Aquasur, set for this edition was clear: to consolidate the fair as the largest aquaculture industry event in the southern hemisphere, while positioning the Los Lagos Region as a development hub at a national level, highlighting the importance of this economic activity for the country's growth.
Carola Fuentes, general manager of FISA, stated that "expectations regarding this edition are higher than ever. We project the visit of more than 25,000 people, who will be able to find cutting-edge technology and innovation in aquaculture at this fair. The work of all areas of FISA has been fundamental to carry out this project and it fills us with pride to see how this becomes a reality."
In the face of the high number of visitors expected, the Aquasur organization also designed an ambitious mobility plan with available parking in the venue and in Puerto Montt, buses and shuttle transfers, and an agreement with transport apps to ensure the correct movement of visitors to and from the fair.

The alliances we have established with the authorities also speak of a multi-sectoral imprint that characterizes this industry. We have the institutional support of the Government of Los Lagos, through the honorary presidency of its head, Alejandro Santana, and also from the municipalities of Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas, the SEREMI of Transport and Telecommunications, Carabineros de Chile and local traffic offices added Fuentes.
"Chilean aquaculture has reached a point of maturity that allows us to affirm with certainty that Aquasur is a key exhibition for the Chilean economy's momentum. We will bring together companies from 34 countries – including Denmark and Norway, which are very important salmon producers on a global scale – and the International Congress will bring together rapporteurs whose knowledge of aquaculture is vital for the sustainable advancement of this activity," Rodrigo said. Bastidas, fair manager.
Happy Salmon Awards and Dismiss Your Entrepreneurship
In addition to the exhibition and the Congress, Aquasur is also a showcase that will showcase the local development of innovations for the aquaculture industry: Happy Salmon, organized by its Media Partner Salmonexpert; and Dismiss your Entrepreneurship, co-organized between FISA, AquaGroup and InfoSalmon.
Happy Salmon seeks to relieve technologies, processes or projects that are aligned with the current challenges of the industry, with a long-term vision, and the award ceremony will take place on the first day of Aquasur 2026, where an award will be given to the selected initiative, which will also be promoted on the different platforms of Salmonexpert in 2026.
Meanwhile, Dismiss your Entrepreneurship will grant space in the SME Zone of the exhibition to 26 startups that were chosen from among 50 participants, so that they can present their technological solutions and services to the main decision makers of the industry at a global level.
