It is a dynamic program designed to encourage innovation and development in the Los Lagos Region, covering social, territorial, productive and economic challenges, with innovative projects together with science and technology-based companies and strategic investment.
The Regional Innovation Center Los Lagos recently launched the renewed version of Region 4.0, a transformational program that seeks to drive the development of innovation in the Los Lagos Region.
This version is designed to address social, territorial, productive and economic challenges, through work directed at various social organizations and groups, communities, start-ups and emerging companies in three application modalities:
1. Region 4.0 Territorial Challenge: Directed to social organizations facing territorial challenges identified and prioritized by the Regional Innovation Center, during the territorial deployment developed in the first year of work in the 4 provinces of the region. This component seeks innovative solutions that respond to specific needs, promoting equitable and sustainable development.
This mode includes working on challenges such as the treatment of domestic solid waste, promoting associative tourism, efficiency in water use, enhancing collaborative work, improving technological adoption, contributing to economic development and promoting an innovation culture.
2. Region 4.0 Territorial Innovation: Focused on startups and projects with a high innovative or technological component to develop proposals that respond effectively to the challenges of the territory. A unique opportunity for technological entrepreneurs to demonstrate their ability to create disruptive solutions that improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the region.
3. Region 4.0 Innovation and Industries: This category is designed for science-technology-based startups and start-ups, as well as strategic investment initiatives. Its purpose is to encourage the creation and growth of companies that can contribute significantly to the economic and technological development of the region of Los Lagos, through the analysis of patents, commercial presentations, valorization of companies, pre-feasibility of businesses and the connection for the growth of companies.

Through initiatives such as Region 4.0, the aim is to promote innovation and investment in projects that can transform the region and improve the quality of life of its inhabitants.
The Los Lagos Regional Innovation Center is a program promoted by the Los Lagos Regional Government and the Los Lagos Regional Council, implemented by the Universidad Austral de Chile Sede Puerto Montt in collaboration with the Asociación Synérgiame.
