More than 20 ventures received specialized advice from executives of the Salmon Mentors Network, as part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the trade association.
SalmonChile consolidated its commitment to innovation and the sustainable development of the national aquatic ecosystem through a specialized mentoring program in collaboration with Endeavor, held during the international AquaSur 2026 fair in Puerto Montt. The initiative was part of the commemorative activities for the 40 years of the trade association's history, implemented in its institutional stand designed as a point meeting for its interest groups.
The space of SalmonChile became a strategic convergence hub where various activities were developed aimed at collaborative strengthening of the sector. Within the Salmon Mentors Network programme led by the trade association, this milestone organised in conjunction with Endeavor allowed innovative ventures to receive direct advice from high-level executives of major national salmon farming companies, covering key areas such as health, farming, operations, freshwater, IT, optimization, regulation, nutrition and quality.
"This space for collaboration perfectly represents our vision of an industry that grows in a sustainable way through innovation and joint work. Connecting entrepreneurs with the experience of our associates strengthens the entire national aquaculture ecosystem," said Marcela Bravo, manager of Studies and Projects at SalmonChile.
Anette Krohn, Endeavor Manager Patagonia, highlighted the initiative as "one of the most valuable moments of AquaSur". "Seeing the dedication, generosity and commitment of the mentors to help entrepreneurs do better is really invaluable. And it says a lot, in the best sense, about the ecosystem we are building," she specified.
Angélica Solar, representative of Biofiltro, stated that it was a "key step to validate our proposal in fish farming, aligning it with real industry challenges and investment criteria such as payback."
In the spaces provided by the Salmon Mentors Network, prominent professionals and aquaculture experts participated: David Farcas from Centrovet, with expertise in health; Pablo Albistur from Camanchaca, expert in farming; Esteban Ramírez from Blumar, with knowledge in the technical-environmental area; and Samuel Valdebenito from Veterquímica, specialized in health. Additionally, they contributed with their experience Felipe Infante from Blumar in operations; Cristián Delgado and Evelyn Cárcamo, both from MultiX, in the areas of freshwater and optimization, respectively; Manuel Meza from Cermaq in information technologies; Mauricio Delgado from Australis in regulatory aspects; and Claudia Gatica from Skretting, contributing her knowledge in nutrition and quality.
The programme benefited various innovative ventures in the national ecosystem, among which are Ictio Biotic, Acuanativa, Aquit, M-RISK, Watermind, Agrotop, REMAP, Lab Kasem, Codebreaker, AdClean, Genera4, Geovictoria, Biofiltro, KRAN, Lodox, Kura Biotech, Navimag, Retina Lab, Kasem, Lythium, RDA and BUK.
