Under the wing of its new slogan “Creating new sustainable roads”, the company Profisur is taking a leap in R & D within the salmon industry. The company, which specializes in the management of people in process plants, aims at sustainable innovation and the constant search for new and better ways to develop its operations.
For this purpose, it is forming different strategic alliances with companies specialized in various subjects, which allow them to go a step forward to the needs of their clients. This is how this year, in conjunction with its subsidiary From La Cruz Laundrylaunched a new reusable and traceable box, developed with state-of-the-art technology, and a focus on sustainability. The idea was to offer an eco-friendly and efficient alternative, which is both lightweight and ergonomic, ensuring a comfortable use experience throughout the working day.
The pechera has materiality that is waterproof, keeping workers comfortable, dry and safe processes. Moreover, thinking about the circular economy, these can be reused over and over again, significantly reducing waste materials.

At the end of their life, the pens can be recycled, thus closing the production cycle in a responsible way.
Profisur emphasizes that this product is intended to have a positive impact on the aquaculture industry, promoting new solutions for both the environment and people's health. “As a company we are challenged in the continuous improvement of our processes, committed to the innovation and well-being of collaborators and sustainability of business. We are happy with these advances, we will continue to work on this line”, emphasizes Antonio Catalán Mansilla, general manager of Profisur.
Ergonomic tools
Moreover, in collaboration with the company CPQualex- representative of Tramontina- Profisur is promoting the development of sustainable and ergonomic tools for the salmon industry. These are tools made of quality and sustainable materials, which are also designed to provide maximum comfort and minimize the fatigue of each operator, allowing for longer work, with less effort.

This translates into greater productivity and job welfare of employees. In turn, each tool has been optimized to withstand the most demanding conditions, ensuring consistent performance and a long service life.
Among the tools developed in conjunction with CPQualex and Tramontina, there is an articulated knife with ergonomic handle at 90°; an alignment with structure and 100% recyclable accessories; a 100% removable and hygienic clamp (with a wider spring and textured handles).
This year, too, he concluded new alliances that are closely linked to the tools used in process plants.

And it's that in conjunction with Paz Recycling and Untamed Knives, established an initiative to recycle disused knives and accessories, giving new life to elements that were destined for garbage.
