AUSO Training has a training alliance with the company BioRobótica, which allows handling and operating the underwater drone, as well as generating reports for salmon farming with technical language.

As a specific and certified job opportunity by the National Service of Training and Employment (Sence), qualified the manager of the Technical Training Organization (OTEC) AUSO Capacitaciones, Felipe Valenzuela, the course titled "Pilot Operator of Underwater Robotics ROV", which is delivered by the underwater drone manufacturer BioRobótica, both entities located in the city of Puerto Montt, Los Lagos region.

This is how Valenzuela explained it, who said that when the "boom" of underwater drone piloting began, "there was a need to train pilots, considering that in BioRobótica the ROV (acronym for Remotely Operated Vehicle; in Spanish, Vehículo Operado Remotamente) is manufactured from scratch and there was the possibility of teaching young people to use this robotics. It also has certification from a leading auditor of the ISO standard." 9001, so we created the company and certified it under the Chilean Standard (NCh) 2728, on Quality Management System, for training technical bodies.

This certification has allowed AUSO to differentiate itself from other OTEC, "because we are the only ones that deliver the course coded by Sence, accrediting us a high level in training, management, support, timely intervention of the ROV and preparation of technical reports developed in Adobe In Design, so that the management and executives of our clients can view technical information on the anomalies detected in the farming centers".

This is because according to AUSO's experience, in salmon farming there are always queries regarding the visualization and timely delivery of information, "a context in which our pilots are able to give technical answers to management. When we have had trainees in cultivation centers, we always have the opportunity for management to approach us, as for them it is interesting to see the ROV and the support work that is carried out for reduce risks in diving, fish mortality, mooring line inspection and recovery of shipwreck remains.

In that sense, one of the current students of the course, Cristian Chávez, described his experience as rewarding, "because it was exactly what they offered and even a bit more, because the teachers are excellent and their experience in the field is evident", especially valuing the employment aspect, "because AUSO offer a 21-day work practice and depending on how you perform, you can be hired by them". same"

Finally, the regional director of Sence Los Lagos, Mauricio Toro Rojas, highlighted the possibility of opening new horizons of work through this type of OTEC, "where we, as a service, optimize the relevance and local relevance of our trainings, with the element of job placement", thus allowing "to advance in new technologies and to strengthen the public-private link, in such a way that, with the information that we they deliver the companies, we know the needs of real jobs, where we focus and optimize the training resources".

Alliance with BioRobotica

One of the most relevant aspects in relation to the formation of AUSO Capacitaciones, is the alliance that has the company BioRobótica, specialists in inspection, monitoring and repairs of ROVs, where also the equipment of underwater robotics energized BlueRov is manufactured.

"We currently work with equipment that is energized, because the ROVs generally use rechargeable batteries with use of one to two hours, but we instead of using batteries, energize the equipment from the surface with a power source (electric generator), giving more autonomy to the service. This is well known to our students, as they graduate as people trained to operate the BlueRov team and the best known market, the DTG3", concluded Felipe Valenzuela.
