Landes Mussels obtained this year the authorization to export mussels to Russia and submitted its cultivation centers to audits of the international ASC Bivalves standard.

Landes recently presented its seventh Sustainability Report, an exercise the company has voluntarily carried out since 2018 and which this year covers the management and results corresponding to 2025, prepared according to the GRI 2021 Standards and its Sectoral GRI 13 Standard. In Chiloe, where Landes Mussels maintains a processing plant and eight mussel farming centres between Dalcahue and neighbouring localities, the period was marked by the opening of new markets and through a territorial linkage effort.

"The year was particularly challenging for Chiloé, as the lower availability of raw materials and smaller sizes obtained during the season pressured costs and forced us to adjust the production planning. Nevertheless, we strengthened our commercial presence in markets such as Russia and improved positions in the United States," said Andrés Fosk Belan, General Manager of Landes.

During 2025, Landes Mussels obtained the authorization to enter the Russian market and started its first exports to that destination, after meeting specific process and control requirements that expanded its commercial access. The company also strengthened its position in the United States and its Liucura, Calen and San Juan cultivation centers were subjected to ASC Bivalves audits, in line with market requirements. international to which it supplies.

"Chiloe, for Landes, is the territory where we are building a second story, different from that of Talcahuano but with the same long-term vocation. The link with the Chilote communities, working with local producers and participating in wetland protection initiatives are part of our conviction," added Fosk.

Environmental education was also a key part of the company's Sustainability Report. Landes Mussels, together with the Municipalidad de Dalcahue, promoted the installation of inclusive signage in four strategic points of the commune (Astilleros, Teguel Bajo, Tocoihue and the access routes to the Humedal Chovi-San Juan) to strengthen the valorisation of its wetlands. A complementary activity to the five cleaning days of beaches with the community, which join the monthly operations in the farming centers.

"The signage includes information about the location of the wetlands and the different species of local fauna present in the area, as well as care recommendations, texts in Spanish and English, QR codes and raised elements for people with visual disabilities. This was a voluntary initiative that included the community, the municipality, students and residents, which makes us very proud," said Carla. Sánchez Mutis, Gerenta de Asuntos Corporativas y Personas de Landes.

In parallel, the operation of Landes Mussels has made progress in incorporating sea water into its production processes, progressively reducing the use of fresh water from local surface sources.

With more than six decades of experience, Landes maintains strategic operations nationwide, with an office in Santiago, five production plants in Talcahuano dedicated to human consumption and proteins for animal consumption, a process plant and eight chorito growing centers in Chiloé, a seed center in Hornopirén and a filling station in Puerto Montt. This territorial presence employed more than 600 people during 2025 and sustains a commercial network that reaches more than 20 countries on four continents.
