First version of this training program, in which 40 female employees of the company will participate, will be carried out in partnership with Mujeres Empresarias. The initiative was announced during the sixth edition of the Multi X Women's Meeting.
In order to promote internal talents, encourage women's participation in leadership positions, and consolidate an inclusive organizational culture, Multi X launched the first version of Women Leadership Program Multi X, in which 40 female collaborators from different areas of the value chain will participate.
The program will be held in person at the same company, in partnership with Mujeres Empresarias, an organization dedicated to building spaces for women in the workplace, through the development and training of management skills. The program will include modules focused on leadership development, effective communication, strategic management, negotiation, conflict management and collaboration networks; which will be led by a multidisciplinary teaching team, which includes renowned executives, academics and Chilean consultants, among them engineers, lawyers, journalists and psychologists.
"We are working to develop women in the different areas of the operation and we take a serious commitment to ensure they find spaces where they can display their talents. This program, in which women who stand out for their performance, commitment and potential will participate, will provide them with concrete tools to take on leadership roles in the future," explained Paula García, Corporate Manager of Human Resources.
As for María Paz Merani, manager of Academia Mujeres Empresarias, she added that "as an organization we congratulate Multi X for being a pioneer in the industry by incorporating gender equality as a fundamental pillar within its strategy. This new program that we have started today together with them fills us with enthusiasm and we are sure it will have a great impact."
The announcement was made during the Multi X Women's Meeting, held at the Centro de Arte Molino Machmar (CAMM) in Puerto Varas, with the participation of 100 people, among executives and collaborators, in addition to Roberta Valença, director of Multiexport Foods, who, in an entertaining and inspiring talk, shared his professional and personal trajectory and guided those present in the design and construction of professional careers to the that each one aspires.
One of the central moments of the event was the panel “Gender Equity in Multi X: Updating Challenges from an Integral View”, moderated by María Irene Campos, Manager of Labor Relations, and which was attended by Francisca Valdés, founder of Women Entrepreneurs; Magdalena Brain, deputy manager of Environment and Concessions of Multi X, and Roberta Valenca, director of Multiexport Foods. The conversation addressed topics such as the glass ceiling, imposter syndrome, work and personal reconciliation, and the strategies necessary for more women to develop and lead in the industry.
The event was opened by Cristian Swett, general manager of Multi X, who explained that “four years ago we created the Gender Equity Committee from the conviction of the board and executive committee that we should promote women’s leadership. We set clear time-bound targets, which have already been met. Today we have to think about how we want to move forward. That's exactly what we're doing to launch this program and hold the sixth edition of the MultiX Women’s Encounters.”
