The company will present its latest innovation at AquaSur: the LED Plus lamp.

Luxmeter, a leading company in the development of light solutions for the aquaculture, will reveal its key contribution to improve the energy efficiency in the production of salmonids and other aquatic organisms. This advancement is materialized in the lamp LED Plus, a creation that, according to the company, represents a revolution in the aquaculture lighting.

In addition to stressing that the latter development demonstrates the constant search of the company to offer sustainable and efficient solutions in the industry, the general manager, Claudio Steiner, said that during the last four years have been working on prototype LED lamps with the aim of optimize luminous efficiency and reducing electricity consumption.

"The LED Plus lamp not only represents a significant progress in energy efficiency, but also an ongoing commitment by Luxmeter to excellence and sustainability in aquaculture," the executive emphasized.

The LED Plus lamp is the latest addition to the company's portfolio. With a luminous efficiency that exceeds the 175 lumens per watt, more than double the previous models, this lamp redefines the relationship between light intensity and electrical consumption, since half of the electricity consumption maintains the same total lumen levels per cage.

In turn, the LED plates of high efficiency, together with its temperature sink made of copper C110, guarantee - according to what the company has stated - a exceptional performance and long service life.

This savings translates directly into economic benefits For the production of salmon and trout, since to generate 1 kWh the industry occupies approximately 0.35 liters of diesel fuel. This means, according to Luxmeter, savings ranging from 60 to 180 litres less diesel fuel for each day of operation, reduction which will depend on the number of lamps installed and the hours of use of the photoperiod per day.

In short, the Plus lamp not only optimizes light efficiency, but also significantly reduces operational expenditure, leaving costs of leasing operation of the photoperiod almost zero..

E-Site

Luxmeter has left his mark on flagship projects in recent years, as was the participation in the project E-Site de Blackbirds, work he carried out in conjunction with Saesa Innovawhere it was achieved electrify a complete site through an underwater cable de 1,200 meters Half-voltage from the ground.

This project has played a vital role decrease in CO2 emissions. In addition, their association with Evoy Norway to enter electric motors for vessels in Chile marks another important step towards electrification and reduction of environmental footprint. It is estimated that, by unifying all projects, 100% CO2 emissions elimination in the total operation of a site in a fattening phase.

All these innovations will be presented in AquaSur, specifically in the stand L-39, where Luxmeter and Evoy Chile will show their advanced and sustainable technology.
