In December 2023, ProChile launched its Global Solutions Program, which has as its main objective to promote the internationalization of supplier companies of goods and services.
The initiative is aimed at companies that, with their goods and services, have contributed to making large Chilean exporting industries world leaders with their products such as salmon or mussels. That is, local supplier companies that contribute with innovation in the production processes involved.
One of the relevant activities of this new program will be Enexpro Global Solutions, the first business meeting of this initiative which will take place on 7 and 8 May 2024, and will focus on promoting national suppliers of goods and services of mining, agriculture, aquaculture, and solutions focused on Clean Energy, Energy Efficiency and Water Management.

This event aims to showcase Chile's wide range of global solutions internationally, with a special focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The idea is to create a strategic space to strengthen presence in foreign markets and facilitate commercial connections for business generation.
Opportunity for aquaculture suppliers
From ProChile, they emphasize that the aquaculture sector's supplier industry focuses on providing efficient and technological solutions, adapted to the needs of the sector in each of its stages. Here stands out a varied range of products and services that is characterized by a high degree of innovation, a specialized human capital, its technological component and a globally validated quality.
According to Ricardo Arriagada, regional director of ProChile Los Lagos“Global solutions not only help one industry. There are cases of companies that are suppliers of the aquaculture industry, but they also support mining solutions, for example. In that sense, we are working to empower suppliers of the aquaculture industry, as they are of global category, but we must support them,” he told Partnerfish.

According to analyses based on ProChile records, with data from the National Customs Service, about 711 global solution providers registered shipments on 2022. Of these, 382 are SMEs, mostly oriented to the aquaculture area, highlighting sectors such as seafood, metal mechanics, chemistry, packaging and plastic, ICTs such as infrastructure supply services, telecommunications, software design, facilities and consulting.
The Global Solutions programme is part of ProChile's strategic institutional objectives, in order to promote exports, with a special emphasis on SMEs - with a focus on Latin America - and to boost the delivery of suppliers of consolidated productive industries. In addition, it focuses on those companies with innovative solutions that seek to sophistication and diversify the export matrix with higher added value.
