The free initiative aims to strengthen the skills of current or potential suppliers in the aquaculture industry in the Aysén Region, through training in subjects such as financial management and negotiation.
In the framework of the work agreement between the Sercotec Puerto Aysén Business Center and Multi X, a training and mentoring program for SMEs has been developed. Under the title Red Pyme Aysen, this initiative includes a first stage of training, led by the Business Center of Sercotec, with masterclasses in online format divided into 8 modules, which will address themes of financial management, negotiation, access to financing and development of proposals, as well as a special module on the aquaculture industry, which will be led by Francisco Lobos, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Manager of Multi X.
Participants of Red Pyme Aysén will have the opportunity to join a second stage of improvement, which consists of a Salmon Mentoring Program, an initiative in which professionals and experts from Multi X will address relevant topics for salmon farming and strategic aspects of the value chain.

Red Pyme Aysén is aimed at SMEs interested in becoming part of the industry's supply chain, and while participation does not imply becoming a supplier of the sector, it aims to strengthen capabilities, understand complexities and main characteristics of the industry, as well as generate new networks.
Regarding the program, the director of Sercotec Aysén Region, Nelly Vargas, invited SMEs to register and take advantage of this opportunity, also indicating that "this alliance constitutes a relevant milestone that fully fits within our institutional mission. We believe in the value of collaborative work to strengthen productive ecosystems, promote sustainable and inclusive economic development, and contribute to the generation of" opportunities that positively impact the quality of life of people and their communities.
For his part, Daniel Santa Cruz, Multi X Supply Manager, explains that “we know that SMEs play a key role in our value chain, so initiatives like these reinforce our commitment to support local economies and, at the same time, boost the development of southern Chile. We thank Sercotec for jointly building this unprecedented partnership in industry.”
As part of the MultiX Supplier Development Strategy, the company allocated a total of USD 84,987,604 million to SMEs from the Araucanía region to Magellan in 2024. During the first half of this year, the figure amounts to $45,760,392. In addition, it promotes other actions such as the SME Initiative, a programme that supports the incorporation of local SMEs as suppliers to the salmon industry.
