• The new events, which have the participation of Intesal, will be held on October 30 and November 27, at the Club House of the Hotel Cabañas del Lago, in Puerto Varas.

The interest of the salmon industry in Resolution Ex. 1821 continues to increase. After a successful previous meeting in late July, AEX Group announces two new workshops designed to deepen on four key topics. These are: engineering, oceanography, regulation and certifications. These events will take place on October 30 and November 27 at the Club House of Hotel Cabañas del Lago in Puerto Varas.

With the support and support of Instituto Tecnológico del Salmon, Intesalthe workshops will be organized in working tables composed of ten people, integrating the experience and theory of the attendees. For the above, representatives of all salmonid producing companies related to the areas of networks, funding structure, environment and legal area will be invited. These will be joined by experts from the academy and certifiers, which will allow a comprehensive analysis of Resolution Ex. 1821.

The aim of these workshops is to write a document with proposals to be presented to the authority and where work will be done under three approaches: Delete, Modify or Incorporate new points into the regulations.

For the day of October 30, two key areas will be addressed: Fondeo Engineering (morning) and Oceanography (afternoon). To facilitate analysis and discussion, AEX Group will provide summary documents on the critical points to be addressed. Meanwhile, the second workshop on November 27 will focus on certification and regulation.

Collaboration is key
“The success of these workshops lies in the collaboration between producers, service companies, academia and other relevant actors in the sector. By combining the practical experience of producers with the theoretical knowledge of service companies and academia. We hope to generate concrete and constructive proposals that we can deliver to the authority,” commented Alonso Echevarría, director of AEX Group.

Each day will focus on identifying and discussing key points of Resolution Ex. 1821, with the possibility of agreeing on specific alternatives that strengthen the sustainable and efficient operation of the industry.

“To ensure active participation in these work tables, we ask attendees to prepare concrete proposals, based on international regulations or reference sources, to help sustain discussions,” added the representative of AEX Group.

Attendance at these events will be by invitation, addressed to those who have a direct bearing on the topics under discussion. More information and confirmations in www.interacciónacuicola.cl.
