A dozen producer and supplier firms, as well as representatives of the salmon value chain in the Los Lagos Region, will be part of the sponsors of the sports club's honor box, in order to contribute with resources to strengthen its venue for the tournaments that will be held during the second semester.

Con the signing of a partnership agreement, more than ten companies belonging to the value chain of salmon farming in the Region of Los Lagos have pledged this Friday to support financially - via sponsorship and advertising - the football club Sports Puerto Montt.

In the event - held in the Chinquihue regional stadium, where the club exercises locality- participated SalmonChile and representatives of companies Mowi, Cermaq, MultiX, Blumar, Camanchaca, Marine Farm, Caleta Bay, Salmon Austral, Abick, AquaGen, Scale, Billund, Akva and Kran, who shared with the figures of the sports club's honor board.

The president of Sports Puerto Montt, Germán Mayorga, stressed that “for me, which I have many years linked to the salmon industry, it is exciting to be able to form this ‘Cardumen’ alliance, as it is the most important in the club’s 40 years of history. We want to thank the trust in this leadership and in the club, this is a historic contribution that will go directly to the benefit of many people and we really needed it. We received the salmon farmers with open arms.”

For his part, the president of SalmonChile, Arturo Clément, said that “sport – and football in particular – allows to unite different people around values such as cooperation, teamwork and the value of effort, values that, as a guild, we also seek to promote from our productive sector. For the same reason, we do not hesitate to give our support to Deportes Puerto Montt, as a concrete example of our commitment to region and with its community.”

Meanwhile, Nicolás Vial, legal manager of Cermaq, pointed out that “this project, where salmon cult companies joined together to go to help Club Deportes Puerto Montt, is very important to us, because it is a concrete demonstration that we want to be a contribution to the people who live in this region. We hope that this will be the first step for the club to return to where it belongs in the future: the first division.”

“It is very important for us to participate in projects that support healthy life, it is in line with what we do, which is the production of nutritious food. What better than supporting where we are present and the activities such as sport, which link so many people,” said MultiX Corporate and People’s Affairs manager Francisco Lobos.

In conclusion, Akva’s marketing manager, Ivar Benavides, concluded that “as the “Cardumen” project says, this is the union of suppliers of all companies in the field, it is a common good to be able to support in the next stage of Puerto Montt Sports, we are very proud and grateful that we were invited to participate”.
