The event organized by ProChile in Bangkok allowed Los Lagos companies to generate business contacts, learn about market trends and explore new business opportunities in Southeast Asia.

One week after the end of the Second Chile-ASEAN Business Meeting 2026, companies of the Region of Los Lagos have carried out a positive balance of their participation in this activity organized by ProChile in Bangkok, Thailand, which brought together Chilean exporters with importers and strategic players from Southeast Asia.

The regional delegation consisted of AquaChile, Granja Marina Tornagaleones, St. Andrews, Marine Solutions and Imenco, companies linked to the marine products sectors, mussel cultivation, salmon farming and aquaculture solutions.

Francisco Pinto, representative of Marine Solutions, highlighted that the mission allowed to learn about new opportunities for the industry. “To be able to meet directly with importers and understand their needs helps us identify opportunities and new marketing channels. Asia is a market with enormous potential for Chilean sea products,” he said.

From Imenco, his commercial manager Felipe Kauak appreciated the visits and meetings held during the tour. “It was a very positive experience that allowed us to know in the field the reality of the industry, generate contacts and identify spaces where our solutions can bring value,” he said.

For his part, Eduardo Piccolo of St. Andrews and representative of Chile Mussels highlighted the growth potential offered by the region. “The meetings held and the knowledge gained on the ground allow us to visualize concrete opportunities to further strengthen trade relations in these markets,” he said.

The regional director of ProChile Los Lagos, Ricardo Arriagada, said that “this type of meetings allows to generate contacts, know trends and detect new opportunities for sectors where our region has important competitive advantages.”

The business wheel was held within the framework of THAIFEX Anuga Asia, one of the world's leading food fairs, and brought together more than 40 importers from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
