With 22 years of existence, Comercial Puelo is dedicated to the supply and maintenance of electrical equipment for the southern south area of the country.
Founded in 2002 as a family company in the city of Puerto Varas, Comercial Puelo has managed to grow, largely as a supplier of electrical equipment and assistance for the German brand MWM.
Today they are exclusive representatives in the national territory for the case of the generators that they manufacture MWMImportantly directly from the branch that this prestigious company has in Brazil. The wide range of MWM equipment that it currently has Commercial Puelo, offers around 50 generators, both gas, diesel and marine.
But they do not only distribute these products, but also offer technical service, spare parts, maintenance, as well as other specialized services, such as the development and manufacturing of electrical panels, electrical engineering and construction.
"The aquaculture industry, unlike other industries, requires constant services and maintenance," explains Sergio Courbis Kehr, founder and general manager of Comercial Puelo.

“In other industries, equipment is usually only for backup. In these cases they are maintained or repaired sporadically; instead, in the aquaculture industry there is a daily operation by generators, therefore, the demand is greater in terms of repairs, maintenance and sale of these equipment,” says Courbis.
Although Commercial Puelo focuses heavily on the aquaculture industry, it also works with the meat industry, the hydroelectric industry, the dairy industry, the agricultural industry, the tourism industry, among others.
The founder of the company highlights the fact that “currently the generators we work with have a spare for at least 20 years. The lifetime of the teams we work with is super long. The latter sets a higher quality standard and differs strongly from other equipment of similar characteristics, but Chinese manufacture, for example.”
And it is not random that its clients include companies such as Australis Seafood, Yadran Crops, Maqsur Enterprises, Colbún, AquaChile, or important higher education houses, such as the University of Chile, Universidad Católica del Norte, Universidad Austral de Chile and the University of Los Lagos.
This is how they have managed to cover much of the national territory with their products and services, highlighting the southern and southern part of the country, specifically from the Biobío region to Magallanes. “We have also worked with customers in Santiago,” Courbis complements.
Just over two decades ago Commercial Puelo had a team of only two workers; today there are already ten people. “In addition, we generate about twenty jobs indirectly,” says his general manager.
In the words of its founder, “our mission is to provide the best possible service to our clients and to be very transparent in what we do. We have somehow achieved this and that is what has allowed us to stay in the market and continue to grow.”
