The company's trajectory has been linked to the pursuit of more sustainable practices within the industry, contributing to the incorporation of new tools for more responsible production.
South Vet, a pioneer company in the development of natural products for aquaculture in Chile, celebrated its 15th anniversary last week with a special meeting at its offices, where it revealed its history of innovation, commitment to sustainability and the launch of a new product that adds to its portfolio of solutions.
"We are very happy to share a very important milestone: we have completed 15 years of constant, innovative work and committed to more sustainable and healthy aquaculture," said Marcela Delgado, CEO of SUDVET Corp.

Since its inception, SUDVET has worked on the development and implementation of non-pharmaceutical alternatives for salmon farming. In a context where these solutions were still little explored, the company focused on researching and offering natural products aimed at the care of fish health. Its history has been linked to the search for more sustainable practices within the industry, contributing to the incorporation of new tools for more responsible production.
"We feel proud and grateful for having been able to open a door to natural alternatives in a context where it was not common to talk about non-pharmaceutical health. Our commitment has been and continues to be clear: to promote well-being as a fundamental pillar of fish health, without compromising the environment or the quality of the final product," said the CEO during a commemorative presentation.
Impact with scientific evidence on fish and the environment
During the event, the technical team from SUDVET presented the pillars of their value proposition: animal welfare, productive performance and strengthening the immune system. All the company's products are supported by scientific evidence, which ensures their effectiveness and safety for the fish, while protecting the environment and the final consumer.

These solutions have demonstrated concrete benefits such as reducing the use of pharmacological treatments, and also supporting the reduction of resistance of available antiparasitic agents and antibiotics. These products improve productive indicators in terms of growth, mortality and end product quality.
To date, more than 1,200 million of fish in Chile have been benefited by the solutions of SUDVET.
On the occasion, the extensive product portfolio was exhibited, including Lyptus® – with six years of successful market performance – Rosseus® – introduced in 2022 as an innovative immunological strategy against parasites – and solutions such as C3Cos and Welfcare Plus®, geared to growth and well-being throughout the production cycle. BioRose Care® resin to protect nets with natural antifouling effect.
Also AQ Bliss®, a new product specially formulated to prevent stress and improve the performance of fish in challenging conditions.
