The PCM technology acts as a high-efficiency barrier that blocks the entry of unwanted elements into the cultivation area.

Facing the increasing challenges posed by climate change, PSP Chile it is implementing its Compact Microbubble Screen (CMS) technology and emergency systems in cultivation centers in the regions of Los Lagos, Aysén and Magallanes. This initiative aims to mitigate the impact of adverse phenomena such as harmful algal blooms (JFN) and the jellyfish swarms, which proliferate to a greater extent during spring-summer as a result of the increase of the temperatures in water bodies.

Emergency systems for PSP Chile are a versatile tool that allow the water column to be renewed, regulate the temperature between the upper and lower layers, remove gases, reduce photosynthetic activity, improve the microbial oxidation rate and facilitate the oxygen transfer at low flows. Adapting to changing environmental conditions, these systems contribute to improve the quality of life of the fish, favoring their well-being and optimal growth.

On the other hand, the PCM technology acts as a barrier of high efficiency which blocks the entry of unwanted elements in the cultivation area, such as FAN, jellyfish, hydrocarbons, suspended solids, sediments, microplastics, among others. This technology is capable of block particles between 5 and 120 microns, ensuring reliable and effective protection.

The effectiveness of PSP technologies has been validated by studies and trials carried out in collaboration with the academy and research centers, consolidating as a reliable solution for the protection of the farming centers.

Tangible benefits

PSP Chile solutions are designed to meet the needs of farming centers located in high-risk areas of Algal bloom, where the geographical location and factors such as marine currents favor the occurrence of these phenomena. With these technologies, PSP Chile offers its customers a strategic support to protect their assets and optimize environmental management in their facilities, using completely environmentally friendly solutions that do not generate waste or contaminant traces.

The implementation of these projects reaffirms the effectiveness and reliability of our systems, backed by scientific and empirical validations, with more than 300 projects carried out to date. Recently, we have incorporated an online reporting system that allows our customers and team to monitor in real time the progress of each center, identify any deviations and take the necessary actions to keep the systems in optimal conditions," says the commercial manager of PSP Chile, Matías Rodríguez.
