Label is an incentive for consumers to choose those outlets that comply with fishing regulations.

The National Service of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Sernapesca) handed over the Blue Seal to the Flor del Estrecho Fish Market, to the Poseidon Fish Market (two locations) and a Frozen Magallanes, a distinction that certifies that these outlets commit to commercialising seafood products of legal origin, assuming a commitment to the sustainability of fishery resources and supporting legal fishing, but it is also an incentive for consumers to choose those outlets that comply with the fishing regulations.

Patricio Díaz, regional director(s) of Sernapesca in Magallanes highlighted: “As a service we are happy to deliver these 4 badges in the region. The four premises applied during the last call, and all met the requirements and requirements. In addition, they are locals with a recognized trajectory in the commune. I want to invite other fishmongers, restaurants and hotels to apply to get the Blue Seal, which guarantees the commitment to sustainable and legal fishing, giving security and peace of mind to the public that they are buying resources, products and seafood dishes from a safe place.

In December Sernapesca will open a new call for establishments that market products and resources of the sea to apply and obtain the Blue Seal. The new application body will be informed in due course through the official channels of communication of Sernapesca. For queries, you can call 800 320 032.
