Workshop was organized by the Subdirectorship of Safety and Certification of Sernapesca to bring our users closer to international regulatory compliance, as well as to train them in the use of the OMC's ePing platform.
Wednesday 7 August was held the Technical Training Workshop for the Knowledge and Use of the ePing Platform targeted at users and users of the export sector of fish and aquaculture products and customs agents at national level.
This instance, which counted with the participation of more than 40 users connected, was born within the framework of the institutional strategic pillar for the facilitation and approach of our users, and of the strategic alliance with the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) in its capacity as National Authority for Notifications of World Trade Organization (WTO)who, through their area of international affairs, provided the training.
The workshop was organized by the Subdirectorship of Safety and Certification of Sernapesca in order to bring our users closer to international regulatory compliance, as well as to train them in the use of the ePing platform of the WTO, which represents a powerful tool to facilitate the access and management of notifications of sanitary and phytosanitary measures (SPS) and technical barriers to trade (TBT).

This platform allows all actors involved in the international trade in fishery and aquaculture products to quickly access relevant information on the new safety and certification measures established by the markets, thereby promoting transparency, reducing commercial risks and facilitating regulatory compliance by exporters, thus ensuring that they remain up to date and competitive in the global market.
Héctor Escobar, Deputy Director of Safety and Certification, stresses the importance of this meeting between users and health institutions competent in the field of food safety, in which this tool for public use is made available and that allows them to be updated of all the normative modifications of the different markets of destination, for their subsequent fulfillment delivering with it the guarantees of safety of products that are exported as a source of food of high nutritional value.
