During the meeting, the main advances of the Humboldt Project were presented, an initiative that gave rise to this new area and has been key for face the operational and financial challenges of the last period.
The Humboldt Project, which involved more than 100 collaborators organized into 10 working teams, with the goal of generating savings of approximately USD $50 million, designed 100 efficiency and savings initiatives applied to different stages of the value chain, thus exceeding initial projections.
Since last year, we have faced a challenging scenario, marked by a complex situation in prices and high production costs. That is why it is key to seek advantages and efficiency opportunities along our value chain. The Humboldt Project was a great example of how, when teams set goals and work together, objectives are exceeded with ease. With the OPC we want to establish a culture of efficiency and compliance, honoring the commitment to excellence that has always characterized us," said Alberto del Pedregal, Deputy Manager of Strategy and Corporate Development at Multi X.
The creation of this new office represents a decisive step in the company's roadmap, which bets on a more agile and collaborative structure, capable of anticipating the industry's challenges and maintaining its leadership in national salmon farming.
