At the meeting, held this Thursday 3 April in Puerto Montt, the world's first aquaculture metaverse was presented, developed by Minverso.

In a day marked by announcements of public funds for innovation, as well as the large attendance of the public, this Thursday 3 April saw the holding of the Innovation and Technology Forum (FIT) Los Lagos 2025.

The event, organized by the Regional Innovation Center Los Lagos, took place at the Ciudad Puerto de Empormontt Linking Center and was a space for regional and national startups to present different disruptive tools and technological transformation for the industry. One of them was the launch of the world's first aquaculture metaverse, developed by the Chilean company Minverso.

The presentation of this innovative tool was given by Nicolas Beghelli, commercial director of Minverso, who showed the work developed together with the salmon farming company Marine Farm. The executive began by introducing Nila as a virtual assistant and how it is now possible to compile specialized reports in mining and aquaculture. "Metaverso is understood as the new interface of the Internet, beyond today's 2D web." That is, it is a 3D interface, with a speed different from what we were used to," said Beghelli, pointing out that the set of disruptive technologies would allow us to generate tools for the industry.

In the case of Minverso, according to Beghelli, it is one of the 9 platforms in the world for the metaverse. "The interaction with other people is the greatest value of this tool," he said, showing use cases with Marine Farm, through the entry of different parameters, such as oil billing, including real electricity generation, catalogs, maintenance manuals, general information, as well as interviews and experience in plants. the workers.

"To this are added parameters such as weather, historical and satellite records. AI has the ability to discover patterns, providing answers supported by a virtual assistant that analyses all parameters 24/7," explained the representative from Minverso.

The innovation of the presentation of the first aquaculture metaverse was the screen projection of how another member of Minverso observed the audience through mixed reality glasses, also projecting images of the aquaculture metaverse.

Beghelli also claimed that with these technologies it could also be possible “to operate digital twins on land to, for example, grow salmon on the high seas. This is like a website of the future, all processes can be efficient with this technology,” he said, adding that integration of the metaverse to aquaculture will be faster than expected.
