HDPE Solutions, a company from southern Chile that specializes in the construction of rigid high-density polyethylene vessels, has closed a new export sale, this time to Baja California, Mexico.

Chilean aquaculture providers continue to grow in the latin american market, since they are more and more the companies that are consolidating as equipment exporters. This is the case of HDPE Solutions, company with headquarters in the Lake Region, that last week made a new shipment to Mexico, country where several of its rigid vessels polyethylene of high density.

This time, the regional company finalized the shipment of a boat of 11.9 metres in length by 3.7 metres in beam, with a functional design, which will be activated for the provision of services of net cleaning and maintenance from a cultivation center of the company Santomar.

It is a modular vessel, which will be equipped with ROV pilot workstation (remotely operated submersible vehicle), hydraulic arm for 2 tonnes, ROV support, as well as pond with capacity for 2,000 litres.

"It's not the first boat we built for Santomar. In this case, it's a custom design the hull, in conjunction with the customer", details the commercial manager of HDPE Solutions, Álvaro Alvarado.

The shipment also sent a second boat which will provide support services to the same cropping centre. This is a model boat. Challwäfe of 8.5 meters in length.

The representative of the construction company in HDPE underlines that the success of these boats in Latin America lies in the high salinity of the waters in latitudes like Baja California or the Caribbean Sea, which results in greater corrosion of the ships built in naval steel.

"In contrast, those built in high density polyethylene have a higher resistance and durability", says Alvarado, adding that they have exported ten other vessels to a neighboring company in Santomar, also in Baja California.

HDPE Solutions has targeted exports to countries such as Costa Rica, New Zealand and Oman, work carried out by means of two modalities: standard models, with different construction options; or custom projects, in which special projects are designed and constructed tailored to the needs of each client.
