Project, focused on the processing of productive and oceanographic data, has allowed the use of tools of Artificial Vision (AV) e Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize efficiency and sustainability in southern Chile.
The company 3SE through its brand Aisberg, Natural Intelligence, has consolidated an innovation project funded by CORFO (ID: 24CH261307) that seeks to revolutionise the feeding of salmon in the marine phase. The project, focused on the processing of productive and oceanographic data, has allowed the use of tools of Artificial Vision (AV) e Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize efficiency and sustainability in southern Chile.
The project, entitled “Processing and analysis of productive data with integration of oceanographic forecasts into autonomous feeding control models for marine salmon”, has used the Big Data to analyse the vast information on fish behaviour, environmental conditions and food consumption. This analysis seeks to identify patterns that allow generating alerts to critical conditions, improving decision-making in the control of automatic feeding. The central objective is to optimize production performance while strengthening the sustainability of production.
As part of this challenge, through the CORFO project Human Capital for Innovation, the incorporation of high-level talent with the recruitment of the professional Marion Pastene Tobar. Ingeniera Civil Química de la Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Marion contributed his experience in the development of statistical methodologies, continuous learning and report automation. His work was crucial to process and analyze large volumes of information, centralizing data and facilitating its use in advanced analysis. Marion's role enabled data science to be directly linked to needs industry operations.
Victor Valerio, CEO of 3se, highlighted the impact of this collaboration: “Corfo’s support for this project is fundamental to the promotion of our research and development. It allows us to have advanced capabilities in the team, such as Marion's, and continue to keep Aisberg in the cutting edge of development and innovation in the aquaculture sector. Our commitment is and will continue to be to deliver solutions that will have a real and positive impact on industry."
Juan Carlos Castro, Corfo Technical Executive“In Corfo, we seek to boost public-private collaboration to boost innovation that has a real impact on the country. This 3SE project is a clear example of how technology and data science can solve challenges in the aquaculture industry, improving productivity and sustainability. It is an investment in the future of the region and in strengthening our productive matrix."
This project has served as an engine to boost the productivity, competitiveness and R & D & I capacity of 3SE, its customers and the entire aquaculture sector. It demonstrates the company's commitment to delivering high-impact technology solutions for salmon farming.
