Bioled presented its latest innovations at stand #216, including: BAS system for automated and precise control of the photoperiod, high-precision irradiance sensors, specifically designed for RAS environments and specialized technical advice.

Bioled, Chilean company reference in photoperiod solutions for aquaculture, carried out a positive balance of its participation in RASTECH 2025, the international event related to recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), held on 9 and 10 June at the Town & Country Resort in San Diego, United States.

During this edition, Bioled presented its latest innovations at stand #216, including: BAS system for automated and precise control of the photoperiod, high-precision irradiance sensors, specifically designed for RAS environments and specialized technical advice to optimize productive performance and animal welfare.

One of the most notable moments was the presentation by Dr. Vanessa Mella Alvarado, commercial manager of Bioled, titled "Effect of irradiance on the growth and sexual maturity of diploid females in a RAS system", delivered on Monday 9 June in the "Fish Performance & Health Management" block.

Dr Mella, a veterinary doctor with a doctorate in Biology and Animal Production, shared findings on how light intensity influences the early sexual maturation of fish over 1 kg, providing scientific evidence that will help improve animal welfare and productive efficiency in land-based farming.

"The public reception was exceptional. Our stand was visited by producers, researchers, engineers and suppliers interested in how our technologies can improve the sustainability and efficiency of RAS systems," said Mario Navarro, director of Bioled.

Bioled thanked those who visited its stand, both its current customers and new contacts, who showed interest in the photoperiod solutions for RAS systems. "The enthusiasm of the international aquaculture community drives us to continue innovating for a more efficient and sustainable aquaculture," concluded Navarro.
