Units will be installed in the Punrún Lagoon, located in the Pasco department, which is located 37 kilometers to the southeast of the city of Cerro de Pasco.
The regional director of ProChile in Los Lagos, Ricardo Arriagada, highlighted that the company TecNovum - Internet of Water Recently exported aquaculture monitoring solutions to Peru, consolidating a commercial relationship with that country.
It is a weather station (Climatix), an online water quality monitoring system (Internet of water) for various depths and a modern system of satellite forecasts. This technology allows companies to anticipate climatic conditions that may affect fish, reducing their mortality. It is widely used in the salmon industry and since 2022 goes out to the world with support from ProChile.

The company combines internationally certified manufacturer hardware with its own electronics and software development. Its systems allow producers to monitor crop conditions in real time through their mobile phones, anticipating potential problems and reducing risks in production. “Our client’s goal is to have accurate environmental and climate information, with high-end sensors and with international certification, to support quality data-based decisions for trout cultivation,” Sharon added.
The equipment will be installed in Laguna de Punrun, located in the department of Pasco, which is located 37 kilometers southeast of the city of Cerro de Pasco on 4200 meters above sea level, in the district of Tinyahuarco. It has an area of 8 km2 and reaches depths of up to 200 meters.
Ricardo Arriagada highlighted this milestone of Tecnovum “which is part of an ecosystem of companies supplying the aquaculture industry, which developed along with the production of salmon in the Los Lagos Region and which has carried out high-level solutions, capable of competing globally.”
Tecnovum was founded in 2017 in Puerto Varas and began exporting its services in 2022: "Technology allows us to operate from anywhere and connect with foreign markets. From Puerto Varas we are providing services to customers in Ecuador, where we work with the shrimp industry and now in Peru, with the production of trout," explains Sharon.
ProChile has been a fundamental ally in the internationalization of the company, supporting them in their participation in international fairs such as the Aqua Expo in Ecuador and facilitating export processes. "For small technology companies like ours, having the support of ProChile has been key to exploring new markets and understanding other realities," Sharon said.
