Eight finalist teams from different areas of the company presented their innovative projects to address challenges in the operation. The three winners will receive funding and technical support to pilot their proposals.

As part of its innovation program, Multi Xplora, the company held the 3rd edition of its Innovation Pitch Day, which marks the end of a one-year process in which more than 80 projects conceived by employees were raised to solve challenges within the value chain. The event held at the Enjoy Hotel in Puerto Varas brought together 150 attendees, including external innovation ecosystem actors, directors, executives and collaborators of the company.

An expert jury evaluated the eight final projects, selecting three of them to receive funding and technical support to be piloted in the coming months. During the deliberation, the jury praised the professionalism of the finalists and highlighted the alignment of the projects with the company's objectives and strategy.

The winners of this edition were Óscar Arias, Operations Manager of Puyuhuapi and Refugio with the project "Fuel Flow Control"; Marjorie Erazo, Concessions Officer, and Diego Ormazábal, Environmental Analyst, with the project "Ahúma without pause, control the cause"; and Simón Villarroel, Control and Optimization Manager, and Marco Fierro, Operations and Process Control Manager, with the initiative "Machine Learning for the" optimization of production lines

"This third Innovation Pitch Day confirms the innovative attitude that characterizes us as an organization. We learned that it is possible to innovate from the simple and the everyday, rethinking actions and, from small adjustments, developing ideas that contribute to the efficiency of our processes. Everyone is welcome to innovate and to participate strongly in Multi Xplora, which has already completed three years of successful campaigns," said Cristián Swett, CEO of Multi X.

The event included a panel moderated by Alberto del Pedregal, sub-manager of Strategy and Development at Multi X, who spoke with Macarena Carrió, director of the CBT Patagonia of SOFOFA HUB; Carlos Muñoz, partner and project manager at Inspiral; and Daniela Allerbon, CEO of Aquit, about how innovation and partnerships with other players generate benefits and better results for overall operations. Likewise, it participated in the activity as a guest speaker Ignacio Navarrete, entrepreneur, lawyer and actor, who spoke about how to maintain an innovative attitude in daily work.

The Multi Xplora program reflects the company's commitment to strengthening the internal culture of innovation, encouraging employees to propose improvement ideas. During the annual campaign 2024-2025, the innovation team conducted 16 workshops at Multi X facilities from La Araucanía to Magallanes, with the participation of 220 employees on site. Over 80 ideas were presented, of which the selected finalists were developed throughout the year. During this month, the next annual campaign 2025-2026 will begin.

One of the winners at this Pitch Day, Simon Villarroel, Head of Control and Optimization, highlighted that "it motivates us to innovate, to think about why things are the way they are. In our teams we share our ideas and visions and challenge ourselves to always find better ways to do things. We share with suppliers and we are looking for solutions to challenges that are there. We realized that it is about seeking opportunities and taking them and we are very happy with this result"

Also during the day, the "Espíritu Multi Xplora" award was presented to Francisco Reyes, Head of Underwater Robotics, for his daily dedication to promoting innovation.
