During a two-year period, a tripartite working table will be developed between ChileValora, unions and companies, aimed at defining a roadmap for the update of these profiles.
The National System of Labor Competence Certification Commission, ChileValora, a public body created by Law 20.267, reported during the last quarter of the year the extension of the validity of the seven occupational profiles of the mussel farming sector committed by AmiChile, which will now remain in force until 31 December 2027. This extension was achieved after a series of working meetings between AmiChile, workers' unions and ChileValora.
Karina Ojeda, Territorial Assistant of AmiChile said that, "from AmiChile we deeply value the decision of ChileValora to extend the validity of the seven occupational profiles of the mussel farming sector until 31 December 2027. This provides continuity and certainty for both workers and companies in the sector. This result is the fruit of a sustained collaborative work between AmiChile, the workers' unions and ChileValora and opens a key space to advance over the next two years, in a tripartite meeting that will allow us to update the profiles according to the current reality of the activity, especially in specific territories such as Chiloé province," said the professional.
The measure will allow, over a period of two years, the development of a tripartite working table between ChileValora, unions and companies, aimed at defining a roadmap for the update of these profiles. In this context, AmiChile requested the holding of meetings in the Chiloé province, in order to deepen the analysis of each profile and address key aspects such as the number of workers, the maneuvers themselves from the activity, the definition of work strategies and certification processes, including the use of tax franchises.
