Russian authority reported the lifting of restrictions for five establishments, allowing them to resume exports to that market.

Amidst the audit process initiated in 2025 by the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Inspection of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor), which included the inspection of nine Chilean processing establishments and their entire associated supply chain, including cultivation centers, cold storage facilities and processing plants, the Russian authority announced the lifting of restrictions for five establishments, allowing them to resume their exports to that market.

This represents an important advance in the implementation process of the corrective measures adopted by the National Service of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Sernapesca) and the industry following the observations made during the audit, reflecting the result of the joint work carried out to strengthen the official control system and ensure compliance with the requirements established by the Eurasian Economic Union and the Russian Federation.

Soledad Tapia, national director of Sernapesca, stated that "this progress reflects the permanent commitment of our Service and the exporting sector to the continuous improvement of official control systems. We particularly value the willingness and technical support provided by Rosselkhoznadzor throughout this process, as it has allowed us to strengthen our technical capabilities and consolidate confidence in the fishery products and aquaculture companies destined for the Euro-Asian market.

In this way, Sernapesca highlighted the ongoing collaboration and technical support provided by Rosselkhoznadzor, particularly in the implementation of the new microbiological requirements required for this market, including the analysis of sulfite reducing clostridia and Enterococcus.

Although there are still four establishments that continue to have restrictions to export to this market, Rosselkhoznadzor indicated that its assessment will mainly depend on the submission of additional documentary records and on the analysis of the results of the new controls implemented, a process that is also being supported by Sernapesca to address the pending observations which are mainly of a technical nature. documentary.
