The event will be held in Coyhaique and will bring together representatives from the private sector, authorities, organized civil society, startups, scientists and organizations committed to the care of oceanic ecosystems.
This event is part of Blue Week, an international meeting held in Los Lagos that promotes sustainable ocean solutions and economic policies to drive projects with a positive impact on the oceans.
The 2025 edition of Blue Day Aysén will be especially focused on the fjords and channels of the region, with keynote speeches and networking spaces that will encourage the exchange of information, resources and experiences between national and international organizations. Through these opportunities, the aim is to build a collaborative network with a long-term vision that contributes to marine well-being and coastal communities.
Among the confirmed exhibitors are Dr. Emanuele di Lorenzo, founder of Ocean Vision, as the main international speaker; Gerard Olivar-Tost, researcher from the Patagonian Ecosystems Research Center (CIEP); and Dr. Felipe Tucca, representative of INTESAL, who will address topics related to salmon farming in the southern seas.
The regional representative of SalmonChile in Aysén, Fernando Camiruaga, extended an invitation to join the event, indicating that "we want to invite the entire regional community, especially those linked to marine conservation and sustainable development, to participate in Blue Day Aysén. This space is a great opportunity to discuss the present and future of our oceans, building networks that strengthen the collaborative work around the health of our fiords and channels.
The event will start at 9:00 am with reception and accreditation, and will run until 12:30 pm, ending with a thank you session.
